Wir schreiben das Jahr 2007 und blicken zurück auf 10 Jahre Dominance Records. Da dies nun einmal die Anlass gebenden Momente besonderer Ereignisse sind, beschäftigen auch wir uns nicht erst seit gestern mit der Frage wie ein passendes Jubiläums-Spezial wohl aussehen könnte. Die Antwort heißt The Finest und repräsentiert 10 Jahre Labelgeschichte nach Art des Hauses. Will heißen: Dominance Records wäre nicht Dominance Records wenn es sich dabei nur um ein simples Best of Album handeln würde. Die Compilation ist ein künstlerischer Blick zurück, der sowohl gute Tage als auch schwere Zeiten Revue passieren lässt, der von einer gewissen Findung erzählt vor allem aber eines symbolisieren soll - den Weg zum nächsten Jubiläum.

Auf zwei (randvoll bepackten) CDs geben sich alte und neue Dominance Künstler die Ehre. So haben neben exklusiven Tracks hauseigener Produzenten wie Dagobert und Sbassship auch einige Stücke nie veröffentlichter Projekte, wie dem Kretschi & Pone Album aus dem Jahr 2000, den Weg aus den Archiven gefunden. Namen wie ZM-Jay, Opossum oder Poise sind dabei natürlich ebenso Teil der Compilation wie DJ Nas’D, Jay-Roc und Morlockk Dilemma.

Für eingefleischte Fans hat das Album ein ganz besonderes Bonbon parat, einen brandneuen Remix des ersten Dominance Release „808 Mafia am Abzug“, für den Altmeister Kolute höchstpersönlich noch einmal in die Tasten gehauen hat. Als weiteres Highlight wird auf Disc 2 neben unzähligen FMK „Countdown“ Remixen von DJ Derezon bis Brisk Fingaz nicht nur einiges zu hören sondern auch zu sehen sein. Gemeint sind etliche in den letzten Jahren abgedrehte VideoClips, wobei auch hier mit den brandneuen Werken Breakdown und Real B-Boy Stance nicht nur in Erinnerungen geschwelgt wird.
